Hometown Classic

The Hometown Classic, formerly known as the Pat Curran Memorial Tournament, is happy to introduce a new style of 3-on-3 play in this year's tournament.

At the Pat Curran Memorial Tournament, the 3-on-3 play was conducted on a regular size ice surface with two games happening simultaneously.

While this helps with pace of play, teams didn't feel as if they got the prominence that they wanted or deserved, so CARHA Hockey is happy to announce a new style of 3-on-3 this year.

With the Hometown Classic taking place at the Minto Skating Centre, we're able to conduct the 3-on-3 portion of the tournament on their smaller, dedicated 3-on-3 ice surface. This'll make games more exciting and the ice surface less chaotic.

It'll be a jam-packed day of fun for the Hometown Classic's 3-on-3 on Saturday, November 24th, and we can't wait.
